Load-in day at Daytona for the Roar Before the 24.

We just finished up the Roar Before the 24, the annual pre-season test at Daytona. SpeedSource had an extremely successful weekend – we were able to achieve a lot of goals and get all of the valuable running time that we needed in order to prepare for the 24 Hours.

Our track walk included the Bus Stop.

Both the reliability of the Mazda SKYACTIV Diesel and its performance has improved, which is really exciting as we head into the new season. Given that Daytona is a long race, I think that if we can stay away from trouble and unforeseen issues, it’s certainly anybody’s race. It’s in the nature of the event to have a lot of attrition, and we’ve been working hard to make sure we’re there at the end. A lot of our strategy is focused on ensuring that we’re still there on Sunday when the sun comes up and still there to cross the finish line on Sunday afternoon.

I think the cars, our team, and our drivers are all ready for this grueling event. I couldn’t be more excited to tackle this huge endeavor with such a prepared operation!
