I’m so excited to be here in Daytona for the Rolex 24 Hours event. The weather is shaping up to be beautiful, with warmer temperatures every day throughout the week. It’s very exciting to see all the cars and teams as well as the new liveries, which seem to get even more creative every year.

MX-5 Cup will host 44 cars for its opening round of 2026. It’s going to be the biggest turnout ever for an MX-5 Cup race, and what better place for that than Daytona? The record-breaking number of entries includes three returning series champions, MX-5 Cup veterans, and plenty of new drivers to the series.

I’m also excited to be getting on track this week in a famed Mazda rotary-powered car, which I’ll be driving in the IMSA Classic. Having the privilege to drive the iconic 767 Prototype around the high banks of Daytona will be an incredible experience for both me and the Mazda fans in attendance.

I’m looking forward to giving you the full event report next week, when I’m back in what will likely be the snowy Carolinas!
