I just got back from the first World Racing League (WRL) endurance event of the season. Round one was held at Eagle’s Canyon Raceway just outside of Dallas, a track I’d never been to before.

I was at Eagle’s Canyon continuing my work with the TCB Racing Team, who was fielding three Supra GT4 cars for the first event of 2026. I had previously worked with the team at Circuit of the Americas in December, and this was their first event of the new season. The team did a tremendous job with preparation and planning during the very short off-season.

Although this was my first time at Eagle’s Canyon, I had heard great reviews and was excited for the opportunity to tackle a new circuit. The 2.7 miles of winding turns and hilly terrain surprised me—I don’t think of Texas as having that kind of landscape! The track is very rewarding and fun. It’s technical with lots of blind crests and some really fun rhythm sections, both high- and low-speed.

I was not only learning the circuit myself, but I was also coaching my TCB co-drivers, Garrett Higgins and Kyle Roach, who had all been there before. So, this was quite a change for me: I was both a coach and a student as I got up to speed.

After a successful couple of days of practice, it was time for the racing—15 hours of it, no less! We had an 8-hour endurance race on Saturday and a 7-hour on Sunday. I enjoyed the opportunity to be racing as well as coaching.

Between myself and my co-drivers, we shared driving responsibilities throughout the races, and it was a lot of fun to continue working with them during their stints. Everyone got a lot of seat time and was able to continue to progress even while running through the driving order.

All three team cars led at one point during the race, and as the checkered flew, the TCB Racing Team took the top two spots, with the third car inside the top five.

This was a tremendous feat for the team as it was their first-ever win and their first time running three cars. The success really spoke volumes about the level of their preparation, not just for the pit stops but also for the car prep beforehand.

Sunday’s race was a continuation from Saturday, with all the cars competitive as they took turns leading. Our car ended up taking the team’s best finish of the race with second place.

It was truly rewarding to help while also being a part of the results and the racing experience. This program has a bright future, and it has absolutely started off with a bang for the 2026 season. The next WRL race is right around the corner next month!
