This coming weekend is the next round on the IMSA schedule, which is being held at Road America. I’ll be joining Elias De La Torre there for his pursuits in the Carrera Cup championship. We had an extremely successful test at Road America just a couple of weeks ago, and I’m excited to get back there to continue the momentum.
In the test, we initially focused on achieving the right balance in the car for Elias and giving him the confidence to really push and perform. Then, as we got further into the two-day test, we simulated qualifying and had a mock race-length run to really understand where the car and the tires go during the 40-minute contest. This proved to be a productive format for us, and the success we had during the test makes me so excited to get back to racing this coming weekend.
Before heading up to Road America, though, I have a busy week at Road Atlanta with the Ingram Experience. This is the first time they have hosted an event at Road Atlanta rather than their “spiritual home” of Virginia International Raceway. It’s a busy but fun couple of days, with lots of exciting guests and cars in store for the event.
After that, I’m looking forward to getting back up to Wisconsin, with some cooler, beautiful weather on tap. I’ll report back next week with results from the weekend!
