This past weekend was a really fun one! We were getting prepared for the upcoming Daytona race during the test weekend known as The Roar Before the 24. I was testing with Forbush Performance in our Toyota Supra GT4, which we will race in this Friday’s four-hour Michelin Pilot Challenge Series race. The series has a stacked field, with nearly 50 cars entered!

I’m thrilled to be competing in IMSA again. It feels so good, and it’s exciting to be participating with Forbush Performance as a driver this year, after coaching the team in 2021. There are so many talented drivers and teams in Michelin Pilot Challenge this season, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.

During the test, we focused on some of the finer points of car setup and practiced pit stops. What started as beautiful, sunny Florida weather turned into very cold, rainy weather. It looks like the potential for both wet and cold are in the forecast for this weekend. We’ll see how the teams adapt to the weather conditions, whatever they might be!

With Daytona being such a unique circuit, with over two miles of pure straightaway and cars in our class reaching over 165mph, balancing all the different manufacturers’ performance is a tough one for IMSA. Right now, we’re hoping—along with some other manufacturers—to get some adjustment for straight-line speed to even the odds.

We’re back on track Wednesday afternoon, and you can tune in for all the live action on IMSA.com/TV and on the NBC Sports app.

MX-5 Cup is starting their season this weekend, as well! If last year's races at Daytona were any indication, you'll want to tune in live for all the incredible action!
