I’m here at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the classic SCCA Runoffs. The Runoffs mean so much to me personally because they were such a big part of my start in racing. It’s so much fun to be back at this event to help Mazda competitors learn the nuances of Indy and to help make them and their cars faster for the big week ahead.

With all the history the speedway offers, the Runoffs are a special opportunity for the nearly 1,000 competitors to race at one of the most storied tracks in the world. Here’s a look at some of my time here at IMS this week.

Trackwalks are always a key component to learning a new circuit. Doesn’t get much better than this one, walking over the yard of bricks!

Another one of the iconic structures at IMS, the Pagoda.

The museum at IMS is a must. The history of cars dating back to the early 1900s is incredible.
