I spent last weekend at Road America for the IndyCar and Global Mazda MX-5 Cup races. We had incredible weather with a much-welcomed reprieve from the heat, and of course we had some exciting MX-5 Cup on-track action. This year’s races were no surprise after what we saw at Road America last year: the drafting was intense and the lead pack consisted of the top 15 cars battling throughout both 40-minute contests.

22_77AtMidOhioAt the end of the weekend, John Dean had grabbed the win on both days. With rounds five and six now complete, we are halfway through the season and the points battle is really heating up. It was a very clean race weekend overall, and I really have to applaud the drivers on their skills and sportsmanship.

This coming weekend, I’m excited to get back into the racing seat myself. I’ll be at another iconic track, and another one of my favorites: Watkins Glen. Britt Casey, Jr. and I will be co-driving in the IMSA Continental Tire four-hour race on Saturday. We hope to repeat the success we had at the four-hour season opener in Daytona, where we took the TCR class win. The on-track action starts today, and you can tune in for live race coverage on Saturday at 1:55 p.m. ET at IMSA.com or on the IMSA app.
